When Ana (24) returns home for a holiday weekend, she’s forced to help her sister Maribel (28) care for their creepy, catatonic grandmother, Yaya (90s). After an argument over whether ana is selfish for leaving home or Mari is a martyr for staying, Mari decides she can no longer dedicate her life to caring for yaya... That’s when Yaya awakens and eats Mari whole. Realizing that Mari lives on inside Yaya—along with a string of their ancestors—ana makes the ultimate sacrifice to become Yaya’s new caretaker to keep her—and everyone else inside her—alive.
