About me
HARRY NANGLE has been working as an audiobook director and independent producer since 2017, with Penguin Random House and Hachette Audio as primary clients. Awarded titles include Tana French’s THE SEARCHER, James Welch’s WINTER IN THE BLOOD, Grace Draven’s PHOENIX UNBOUND (Golden Earphones, Audiophile magazine); Nate Blakeslee’s AMERICAN WOLF (Best Nonfiction Audiobook, Audie Awards; Audible: Best Nonfiction Audiobook of 2017). Finalists include Tommy Orange’s THERE THERE (Best Multi-Voiced Audiobook, Audie Awards), Matthew Gray Gubler’s RUMPLE BUTTERCUP (Best Young Reader Audiobook, Audie Awards). Along the way, he has directed dozens of titles in the genres of speculative fiction, romance, memoir, and self-help, as well as entries in blockbuster series by Ace Atkins and Nick Petrie. Harry believes strongly that audiobooks are a unique medium, and the nature of audiobook content is to present a story that is compelling enough to keep a listener engaged and entertained even while she’s sitting in traffic or washing the dishes. In fact, especially so.
He holds a Bachelor’s of Arts from the University of Chicago and an MFA from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts.
