About me
10 things to know about me:
Bona fide Cajun. I can cook just about anything. I probably already have. I was shot at by my cousin Preston when I was around thirteen. It was shotgun loaded with buckshot and I was either fast or lucky, I'll take either. He was killed a few years ago in police shooting for a different incident.I'm not only the first in my family to go to college, I'm also the only one to finish high school. Pretty rough start.I raise my younger brother when his mom was killed by a guy she was seeing, but I figured stuff out pretty quick and I did all right. My brother turned out to be a fine young man and is soon to be a dad himself. How cool is that? Does that make me grandpa or uncle? Let's discuss.I got my start in comics, but I don't have much interest in superheroes. My genres tend to be a little more grounded: Crime, horror, comedy, WWII, etc. I won some awards for all that, and lots of work out in the world to read.Comics at Image Comics, Marvel, MTV Geek, DC/Wildstorm, DarkHorse/343 Industries, IDW Publishing, BOOM Studios, 12 Gauge, etc. Titles to check out might be SWEETS: A NEW ORLEANS CRIME STORY, PUNKS THE COMIC, or maybe SHANG-CHI: MASTER OF KUNG FU ONE-SHOT (B&W)Film/TV options for original works at FOX (THE FOUNDATION), Universal (TAG), and MTV (PUNKS THE COMIC).Story artist (storyboards and/or concept art) at Sony, WarnerBros, and NBCUniversal, on stuff like WATCHMEN, 91ST ACADEMY AWARDS, and an under appreciated crime film with Matt Dillon and Willem Dafoe called BAD COUNTRY.I have four chickens and a dog named Elvis. I'm married to a school teacher and my son (not the brother son, a son-son) is making straight As and just started with marching band, which is kinda cool since marching band is where I met his mom.
