About me
Jenny Goddard-Garcia grew up on a ranch in rural Oklahoma splitting her time between being in a literal field and watching television. She works as a writer/director/producer, splitting her time between Austin and Los Angeles. She was last year’s winner of the Tony Cox Screenplay Pilot Competition in the 60 Minute Category at Nantucket Film Festival for her pilot “The Current” and placed as a semi-finalist this year in the 30 Minute Category for her pilot “Cashed Out.”
Her first short film, Weight of the World, was featured on Austin Film Festival’s PBS On Story series, and she is Austin Film Festival alumni many times over for her work on The Sideways Light, Weekend Junkies, and many more. Her sophomore directorial short, Happy Voodoo was purchased by United Airlines after playing over 50 festivals including Tribeca, Aspen Shortsfest, and SXSW.
Her writing focuses on bringing raw human elements into comedy and drama in sometimes extreme and out of this world environments.
