About me
Mike Carreon is a Tejano comedy writer, director, and performer. He is currently assisting the writers’ room of NBCUniversal’s “LOPEZ VS. LOPEZ,” where he wrote a top-rated episode and has been a co-star multiple times. Mike also appeared on Apple TV's "PUPPY PLACE” and served as a director’s assistant on “THE WITCHER” and “SHADOW AND BONE” for Netflix as well as “THE BOYS” for Amazon Prime. He created the acclaimed live-show-turned-short-film "HARD-ISH BODIES" which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, produced HBO's bilingual comedy “PEPITO,” and delivered an award-winning performance in "GUTS,” a Fangoria Chainsaw Award-nominated short film. His queer crime comedy pilot “WELCOME TO THYSTLE” earned multiple awards including a Top 1% spot on Coverfly’s Red List. Mike is developing two half-hour pilots: “TEXAS ZOMBIE REMOVAL,” a horror comedy workplace mockumentary, and “SON OF A BUTCH,” a family workplace multi-cam inspired by his mom who’s more of a man than him.
Mike grew up on his great-grandparents’ goat ranch in Lyle, Texas, is both an Aggie and a Longhorn, and lives in LA with his wife and freeloading pets. He is a member of WGA, SAG-AFTRA, and IATSE. In addition to having multiple films screened, Mike got his start volunteering at Austin Film Festival as a theater manager and moderator for several years.
