Robin Uriel Russin is Professor of screenwriting and playwriting at the University of California, Riverside. He has written and directed for film and TV, including "2 Hearts," streaming on Netflix, "When I Sing," screening on Amazon, and "The Anxiety of Laughing," on VUDU. He co-authored the books "Screenplay-Writing the Picture" and "Naked Playwriting," both in their second editions. He has also written and directed for the stage, with plays produced in Los Angeles, New York, Cleveland and elsewhere. Theatrical productions include "Painted Eggs" at Harman Avenue Theatre in Los Angeles CA, the world premiere of Kevin Cramer's "Bacciarelli" in Santa Monica CA, and Shakespeare's "The Merchant of Venice" and the west coast premiere of Charles Evered's "Class" at the Culver Center for the Arts in Riverside CA, which won an Inland Empire Theatre Award for directing. His play about a family struggling through a Passover dinner, "The Face In The Reeds," had a 4-month run at the Ruskin Group Theatre.
