About me
Dr. Sarah A. Schoellkopf left academia to pursue teaching in a different was through producing documentaries. As a teacher, her academic research focused on human rights and gender. She has published multiple articles and has presented all over the world on these topics. Since leaving teaching, she is a producer on the documentary Norita about one of the founding Madres, Nora Cortiñas, through her production company, DoctoraStories. Her other co-production credit is on the award-winning documentary Ferguson Rises. She has translated subtitles and helped produce two movies in Argentina, Madres and El perseguido. She is also the President of the Eileen and Fred Schoellkopf Family Foundation, a legacy left by her parents. DoctoraStories is committed to empowering individuals and communities to write their narratives. It is particularly interested in using films to bolster individuals and communities and build empathy by educating others.
