I am a Colorado native who occasionally relocates to Southern California based on weather patterns and tax incentives.
My career in comedy began ignominiously with improv comedy. Flash forward 30+ years and I am still waiting for audience suggestions that aren’t a Starbucks or a dildo. While spinning gold from this comedic straw, I pulled off an MBA and moved in to the hilarity of tech marketing. The unforeseen consequence of trying to convert nerd-speak to a soundbite led me to rip out my hair. Older, wiser, and bald,
I returned to my comedy roots and crafted a screenplay. It was from here that
OUTSOURCED was born. A feature comedy, it’s about a man who accidentally sells his girlfriend’s soul to Satan and must retrieve it with a little heavenly assist. I freely admit that I may have unwittingly sold my own soul a time or two in the course of my career and remain open to offers. My Venmo is available on request.

But sometimes the inspiration to make myself cry hits and voila a drama script is born. Such is the case with
SAIGON DOLL. It’s about the final chaotic hours of the US exodus from Saigon, where a grieving Marine struggles against enemy soldiers — some of whom share his uniform — in order to shepherd an orphaned 8-year-old Vietnamese girl to the American embassy. It was a Top 50 in the 2023 Nicholl Fellowship so something worked in it.
Presently inspired by a 3-week bout with Covid, I mining the comedic depths of medically-assisted suicide because life imitates art.
