2024 Austin Film Festival & Writers Conference

I am a professional screenwriter with an MFA from the University of California PD. I was the recipient of the Harlequin/eOne International Development Agreement for my original TV Pilot, Cape Disappointment. I not-so-secretly write Cozy Christmas romance movies for streaming. I'd love to chat about some completed spec scripts, ready to pitch! I also dipped my toes into producing on an upcoming indie feature-length, Stitched. I am the Director of Creative Writing for the North East School of the Arts (NESA) in San Antonio, Texas. We are proud to have one of the country's only dedicated four-year creative writing programs for talented young adult artists. Students study screenwriting, playwriting, fiction (long/short), CNFiction, poetry, and podcasting. We also just premiered Fame!sh, a new short scripted webseries students are writing, producing, editing and performing in. We also have a four-year cinema filmmakers program! I was the HEB Texas Teacher of the Year last year for secondary leadership... and I am excited to start a Texas Young Filmmakers/Writers early career internship program to keep (or woo back) our amazing young creatives back to Texas.
